here's how i'm feeling about how my finals ended up...

polisci - very first one...pretty sure i aced it.
american lit - i felt pretty good about this one, some i'm hoping for at least a b+. however, i felt really good about the last one and i only got a b- after the curve. we'll see what happens. i was really prepared, so fingers are crossed.
brit lit - i feel really really good about this one. i did really well on the short answer and quote identifications. i felt pretty good about my essay, but we'll see. i'm hoping for an a!
silver standard - oh. my. gosh. high honors!!! 95s on the quickstep and the foxtrot & 96 on the waltz! my highest scores ever!!! really positive comments from the tour team director, including that i should definitely be doing team :D
film history - holy crap. i went to take it today and it had already closed. cue me freaking out in the testing center and trying super hard not to cry. i drove to dr. moody's office and halle-freakin-lujah!, he let me take it. i'm not sure how i did. i studied for forever for it, but it was pretty tricky. hopefully, i got at least 90%.

there's a real potential for straight a's. my fingers are crossed, can you cross yours for me too?

today was awesome. however, i am completely exhausted and will tell you all about it tomorrow. but this made me laugh really hard :)

guys. i have a really great idea. since school's out in two days, i get to start reading what i want to read and that means it is harry potter time. so what i'm thinking is i want to do a harry potter book club. so we all read the same one at the same time and then go to lunch and talk about how awesome it is. pretty much i don't really care if anyone else wants to do it, that means i can read as fast as i want. but if anyone cares to join me, i'd be delighted :)

i will be starting the first book on friday and will be going to lunch with my hp peeps towards the end of next week. respond with a comment on here if you want to join me.

addendum: for all you harry potter haters out there -- if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. or i will punch your face. look at my face -> :| that is my 'i am not joking around about that punching in the face business' face. don't make me punch your face. or verbally eviscerate you until you cry like a little girl. cuz i can and will do both.

also, sometimes it feels like winning a bazillion dollars to find something that is great for only ten dollars instead of fifty so you buy four of them. probably my mom and brianon know what that fabulous something is. the rest of you can think it is a baby panda.

tomorrow i will be living at the library studying my brains out. which incidentally happens to be a bad way (brainless) to take a final. c'est la vie, eh?

today was pretty much a great day. it was beyond beautiful outside, for one thing. secondly, i aced that extra credit quiz (!) and literally walked out of the room raising the roof. and then tonight i went for an epic walk with brianon. a few of the great things that happened on our stroll: seeing a bunch of firetrucks/ambulances/cop cars and making up a story about what happened, jumping across a stream, exploring the library at one am, finding books analyzing sherlock holmes stories, playing with chalk with random people (it's on byu campus, see if you can find it byu friends!), walking across the bridge i've always wanted to walk across, and really great conversation. i have to say - i'm straight-up stoked to be friends with this miss baker person. she's pretty great.

ps. i'm tired of people telling me that they "definitely prefer my dark hair". a - i didn't ask you for your opinion, thanks. and b - did you not watch bambi as a child?! if you don't have something nice to say, don't say nothing at all!!!

once upon a time,

today was kind of stupid. i got a c- on a test that i was counting on getting an a on. this pretty much ruined my day. also - you know those days where you just feel gross and ugly? today was that day for me. add those two together and you get a miserable ris. thank goodness for oreo ice cream and nice boys named lucas. that combination made my sucktastic day end a whole lot better than expected.

the thing is, we spend all this time waiting to be a certain age to do something. here is a list of ages i thought i couldn't wait to be:

12 - beehive, girl's camp
16 - date, drive
18 - graduate
20 - not a teenager anymore
21 - gamble and drink (ooh, big deal for a mormon, right? haha)
25 - rent a car

but it turns out, i was so excited to get older that i forgot about the things i could only do when i was young. now, before you get all huffy with me - i'm not saying i'm ancient. (although living in provo can do that to you when you're my age...) i'm just saying that i'm regretting things i've missed out on because i've passed the age limit for them. i found out about one tonight and i was pretty devastated. i didn't even know i wanted to do it til now! it's not fair that i'm not allowed to participate just because of something stupid like my age. *stomp foot on ground*

today i made a giant mistake

and it is called i went to a pet store. my thought was to get a goldfish and name him howard. but i walked in there and there were all these puppies in aquariums. it was the saddest thing i've ever seen. they were tiny puppies in aquariums with barely enough room to turn around. and this one little yorkie kept trying to get to my hand for me to pet it through the glass. i may or may not have cried a little. this has now gone beyond want into need. because guess what--those puppies need me. they were so darling. i just don't know if a fish will cut it now. even if he is a beautiful golden color and named howard.

so after i cleaned my grandma and grandpa's house, my grandma took me to dinner at wingers. i ordered sticky fingers boneless wings with the mild buffalo sauce. when they finally brought our food out i took a giant bite and...

my mouth exploded.

seriously it was the hottest thing i've ever put in my mouth. i felt like a cartoon, with the bright red face, fire coming out of my mouth, and steam coming out of my ears. i was crying a little bit and my nose was running non-stop. then i made the mistake of taking a drink of water. that only made things worse-i started coughing like crazy! i ended up pouring sour cream from our appetizers all over my tongue, it was that hot!! i had my grandma try a little piece and she agreed with me-it was beyond spicy.

we asked the waitress if maybe they'd put the wrong sauce on and she said she didn't think so, but maybe the medium sauce. we tried to get her to try it, but she wouldn't. she came back a couple minutes later with a new plate of wings, apologizing like crazy-apparently they'd accidentally put on the atomic sauce, which is the hottest sauce they have!

it was pretty funny [after using a fire extinguisher to soothe my poor mouth!] :)

best parts: 1:40, 2:58 & 3:07. luke and i were laughing so hard i couldn't breathe.
[keep in mind that there weren't any special effects. just jackie chan being freaking ridiculous.]

also, i saw 'clash of the titans' tonight with em. the middle school greek mythology nerd in me was geeking out the whole time:)

i forgot to say rabbit rabbit! gasp.

great april fools day joke weather. now quit being a buttface and let spring hang out with me.
